Study Abroad

The Pershing Scholarship includes a $4,000 study abroad stipend.  To use the stipend, contact the study abroad office.

Study Abroad Resources

  ► Study Abroad Night

      Each semester, the study abroad chair organizes an event where Pershings can learn 

      about studying abroad.  Truman's study abroad office sponsors a similar event.  Both 

      are highly recommended for anyone interested in going abroad.  The Pershing event  

      gives specific information on how to use the $4,000 stipend.  Members will also be able

      to talk to scholars who have already studied abroad.

      Some companies offer cheap flights for college students.  Since ticket prices vary,   

      students should search for the best value.

   ► FREEMAN AWARDS FOR STUDY IN ASIA (Freeman-ASIA)

        Freeman-ASIA (Freeman Awards for Study in Asia) is designed to support American

      undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning on studying 

      overseas in East or Southeast Asia.
